The Sucking Jet Pump is a brake vacuum booster valve designed to ensure there is adequate vacuum assist in the brake system even when vacuum from the intake manifold is low. This part number is only used on the 2001-2006 M54 engines - E46 325i/330i, E39 525i/530i, and Z3 2.5/3.0. The Sucking Jet Pump boosts vacuum for the brake system so if your brakes take additional pedal pressure stop then you might have a vacuum leak or a failed SJP.
